TRAVEL VACCINATIONS

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS REGARDING TRAVEL VACCINATIONS

QE GP Practices   no longer accept written requests for travel assessment

If you are travelling/planning to travel we advise that you seek travel assessment from one of the many registered travel clinics within the area.

Please note that some travel vaccinations need to be administered 3-6 months prior to travel and require 2 weeks to become effective, so we would encourage early contact with a travel clinic.

The following vaccinations can still be administered FREE on the NHS within the practice if they are advised at a travel clinic assessment;

  • Diptheria tetanus Polio (DTP)
  • Typhoid
  • Hepatitis A

If any of these vaccinations are required please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse (bringing your completed travel assessment form with you supplied by the travel clinics following travel assessment).

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ADMINISTER THESE VACCINATIONS WITHOUT A COMPLETED TRAVEL ASSESSMENT FORM FROM A TRAVEL CLINIC
